Mergers and Acquisitions
Mergers and acquisitions can be very tricky and requires a considerable effort for the due diligence, looking mainly at three areas, notably financial, commercial, and legal. Other areas to consider include organizational culture, whether it is possible for the two organizational personalities (cultures) to integrate smoothly, how the employees will see the merger, and what will the integration plan be for the two organizations. Investigation can be quite costly, however, not carrying out due diligence investigations can be disastrous.
